I don't care for this one much at all. I think the elevator reconcilation is lame and never really carried out in the context of the show. Boo Hiss! And the balloon chase is just too silly to me. Sorry Sakura. I realize you like it. But it just leaves me cold.

This is not a favorite of mine. It is a very sad continuaton of the last episode. There was no real grieving ever done between the 2 characters. The elevator scene is a minutes comfort while he holds her but after that they are happy and singing and the whole baby situation is never brought up again for the rest of the series. The end is too silly and should have been done in another episode. This whole episode should have been a grieving process. I give it a 5. JMHO

I echo completely what Rose and Cindy have said about this episode - briefly in the elevator there is a glimpse of grieving for their loss but then all is suddenly remedied by the singing of gospel songs.....? I'm still bemused by that one. I think the out-takes are worth watching though with a giggling Cybill and pooping birds. However other than that I can't think of too much that is positive about this episode, it has a slightly hollow feel about it. I voted 5 also.

I think the elevator reconcilation is lame and never really carried out in the context of the show. In my true opinion, they lose the baby, but no matter things or mistakes they will do,they still like and love each other. You can see that Maddie wanted someone not only for protection, but yes to not been alone. After all years they still want each other, and the elevator sence makes the sence at all, because we see that they still want each other.
And the way how they sing is because they're happy to been together at all...

This was indeed an awkward episode and, given how awkward the entire baby storyline was, it pretty much fits right in. But, the case was fun and even though the elevator scene wasn't perfect, I still liked it as a special moment between David and Maddie.
The moment that really catches my attention in this episode is the scene in which David and Maddie are sitting together on Mrs. Spring's sofa, telling her what they found out about the case. I always find David's body language to be startlingly intimate. The way his elbow and head are resting, his legs are crossed, and the general arc of his body all make him look so connected to Maddie in a very protective or possessive way. I find it very intriguing!
Overall, I give it an 8.

Ummm, this episode just didn't do it for me.
I could understand Maddie pushing herself into her work, but the David disappearing act still puzzles me. He was there for her, even when SHE wasn't around and was a trooper in the final scenes of AWWAV...only to bail on her for two weeks? Just doesn't add up at all.
The elevator scene could have been better, but as it was I think it came out rather empty other than the short emotional scene. As mentioned, the singing and smiling after the doors opened seemed quite trite. Folks don't get over those kinds of losses at the snap of a finger.
I suppose the entire episode for me was just bland. To be honest I never remembered the show at all, and now I realize that there was nothing memorable about it. Bland case, bland chase scene, bland acting except for some short scenes.
Sorry gang, but if this was the only episode I ever saw of Moonlighting, I would have never tuned back in for another go around.

I find it very intriguing! i love when m/d sit together on the couch...both times. love when maddie grabs his hand and then doesn't let go. david is so suprised he almost does a double take, then he continues to hold her hand. it's those little moments and the elevator scene that make this one for me. i remember when this one first aired, i had a snow day the following day and just had to rewatch it. i give this one a 6.
