Tell the world how you feel about this episode, and rate it on a scale from 1-10.

Boy I don't care for this one much at all. The client is creepy. The case is creepy...and the chase in the plastic surgeon's office is plain stupid. I just don't like to watch this. The only minor redeeming thing I can say about it is some of the message concerning appearance and what makes someone really beautiful is pretty good. Its just the package this message is wrapped in is pretty foul.

a funny thing can be Mark Harmon's nose on the wall of the plastic surgeon room...

I just finished watching this one on the dvd set. It is a creppy kinda case for ML. But i do enjoy B/C scenes together in this one. It shows the chemistry is still so there. They banter and almost kiss. The end makes me want to scream though because they don't kiss. And i love the lime David sauyd to maddie about her being drop dead gorgeous inside and out. For those things i think i can give this one a 7. I'm being generous with the rating LOL

Oh God! It was good if they really kissed at the end. The sweet way that David said to Maddie that she was drop dead gorgeous inside and out. In my own words, probably he was trying to tell to her that she was an Angel...
I like the "throw-up" sence and the whole fake things around the room. I laught so loud that I almost hit my head on the floor. Oh god! It kills me! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Give an 8 anyway...

I like this episode, I think it's silly in a good way. The case isn't typical for ML, it's very weird, but the rest is funny. My favorite part is when Maddie and David are in the car talking about how it would be if they weren't as good looking as they are. It's so obvious David wanted her for her soul, even if she were a blonde filing cabinet, as long as she wore a carnation so he could spot her at work. ;D They're so cute! In the hotelroom too, in the bed, that's another scene I really adore! I want to vote 7 or 8.. so I think I'll go with 8.

You know, another episode that I didn't remember ever watching, although I am sure I did way back when.
I actually kinda liked it! As others have said, there were more scenes between Maddie and David, the banter was actually interesting, and the conversation in the van was great.
The case sure was different, I'll give it that and that is one of the things I like about this episode versus the previous one which to me was mostly a rehash of old bits.
Do you know how a lot of the car scenes are changing to rear projection vs the almost exclusive "real world" shots they used to use?
One final thought. With all the other beautiful women in this episode, Cybill still was in a class by herself. A stunningly beautiful woman...even today.

Rate = 7. Ah, that D/M magic is still there! I don’t remember watching this episode either. Was I even watching ML during its 5th season? David has lots of funny lines. I liked it when they were following the doctor and David starts this really goofy walk; when Maddie gets hit in the face with silicon (too cute! ); and the flirting and David’s comment that she was beautiful inside and out. The chainsaw and scissor scene at the end was a hoot! ;D I didn’t think the episode was creepy, just weird and different and I enjoyed that. Pretty good.

Not sure I understand why this one is getting such a lukewarm reception as I have to confess that this has always been one of my favorite latter season episodes. The banter between Maddie and David is especially good, and David and Nurse Saundra (Jennifer Tilly) are so cute together. And Maddie repeatedly getting scared and screaming into her microphone and yanking off her earphones is too funny. Am also always amused that David is able to walk up to the hotel desk clerk and get a room key without registering. *L* I give this episode a solid 9.

An 8 from me, could have been 9 if they kissed. The case was non-existant however, but the chemistry was there

I give it a 5. A couple of fun moments mixed with an overdose of goofiness. The ruminations on vanity are good, but they don't feel (forgive me) completely fleshed out, and the de-Berting of Bert via shaving his beard for Agnes would make a nicer metaphor for the David/Maddie relationship if it still felt like they wanted to have a relationship. The same goes for the really sweet convo in the van where David and Maddie ponder whether they'd be hot for each other if both were ugly. That would have been so much sweeter if they were still trying to get together or rather back together. And the end "chase" is another example of Moonlighting trying too hard to be Moonlighting this season. Finally, the non-kiss at the end gives us a glimmer of that UST but falls a little flat, perhaps because I know better at this point than to buy into the idea that it is going anywhere.
Part of me wants to give the show an extra point, a 6, just for the last scene's glimmer of UST, but watching these episodes knowing the punch line, knowing where they chose to go with the relationship, makes it hard. It's hard to rate any season 5 episode on its own merits, knowing that ultimately the writers weren't even going to try and recapture the magic that was Maddie and David. Anyone else have this problem?

I give this episode a 6.5 (actually I had to rate it a 7 above, no fractions ) This episode is OK as season 5 episodes go. And I totally agree, davnee, that it is hard to rate season 5 because you know how it's all going to end. My biggest issue with this episode, and most of the episodes in this season, is how Maddie has "de-Maddied" (and because Bert got de-Berted in this episode, I put my commentary here). Maddie's character has changed so much, she just isn't the "lady" she was before. She seems less refined, less dignified. The whole thing with the microphone, she is too over-the-top. The slapstick/physical comedy in earlier episodes had more of an innocent feel, like she got into those situations by accident and didn't know how to react, and that was funny. This season, she *tries* too hard to be funny, SHE shouldn't be making Stooges noises, stuff like that. Maybe without GCC's influence, Cybill forgot how to be Maddie? Because (not that I watched a ton of this show, but enough to compare), season 5 Maddie reminds me much more of Cybill from the Cybill show that Maddie Hayes. Anyone else notice this?

OMG I've just watched this episode! It's kinda silly and hilarious, and great and I can't describe how much I like it. No, I lie! I don't like it, I love it, adore it! It's fantastic At the beginning the conversation between Maddie and DiPesto is funny, than the client and that chase. Almost-a-kiss at the end too. Than Mark Harmon's nose, and the way Maddie looked when she hit David with silicon. And a lot of other things, I don't have time to write them all. And episode has it's message about inner beauty, and I just love this episode. It's great!
