I really enjoyed this one - a good solid story with Agnes at the centre, but with D&M also in the story. Rather liked the idea that Allyce's then husband Vincent thingy played her love interest. Cute!

Thought this episode was great. Anything that centers around Agnes is always fun. It was kinda like watching Clue come to life in a TV episode

I just started watching season 1&2 with English subtitles and boy, is it great or what?! This is a great quote I never picked up on before: David: I know who our murderer is! Maddie: You do? Agnes: You do? David: I do. I now pronounce us man and wife.

In fact, the whole of this episode is wall-to-wall great lines, I love it. best moment, definitely D & M in the folding bed! ;D

Irresistible fun! For the 'getting caught in the bed' scene alone, I'd give this one a 10.

i just watched this one again last week after not seeing it since the dvds came out. i really enjoyed it. a lot of great david and maddie moments. the bed scenes is also my favorite! i love the way they were together in those early episodes. and what was that one line when maddie says somethig like, "i don't get it." and david says, "that's okay you look good." i love maddie's face. too funny!

8 from me. Fun just to watch him goof on her for an hour. The underlying story also gives Miss Dipesto some cute stuff.

A nice Agnes episode with great Maddie and David moments in. The bed scene is another classic screwball moment and the end scene with Maddie and Agnes reveals a lot about their character psychosynthesis.
An 8 from me.

This was the first episode I ever saw on ABC, after being steered to the show by a buddy's kid sister in law. If for that fact alone it will always remain a favorite.
The episode itself is really good and I was impacted how much it resembled the old 40's screwball romantic comedies that my mom used to watch all the time. Plus it had Cybill, who I had a crush on forever. It was a great way to start my Moonlighting obsession, eh?

She says, "I don't think - " before he interrupts with that great line. LOL! Love it! I give this ep a solid 9 - the romantic train ride with a murder to solve and Maddie/Cybill looking utterly glamourous. Few of the many great ML episodes top this one. NSM was so much fun with plenty of D/M greatness. So far I think it was the best Agnes-centric episode too. I need to rewatch her others to be fair; it's been a long time. Does anyone else notice just how much David already likes Maddie? Couldn't she tell?

The threads under The Next Murder You Hear discusses when Maddie and David's sparks really start to ignite and they start to embrace their characters. Other than the obvious mild attraction in the pilot, I was thinking back as to the earliest episode where David's obsession/attraction for Maddie started to become obvious.
Apparently it is a Friday and David offers to take Agnes to the train station. Maddie says she has plans for Saturday night . BA-Bing!! David's wheels start turning.
She is dressed to the hilt, ready to go out after they drop Agnes off, but there is no way David is going to let her go out with some buffoon to the theater looking like she looks----drop dead gorgeous!! He is smitten!
Can't tell me he was not doing his best stalling routine on the train so that they would be stuck with Agnes.

Oh you're right, beesnbears! TNMYH is the episode where the sparks really start to fly. Even way back then I think I had it all planned out subconsciously. David and Maddie would banter for at least 5 seasons and then they could get together at the "top of the sixth," banter some more before deciding to fully commit, and end with wedding and a baby on the way. Okay, I'm a gushy romantic - and proud of it!
