Yippee from me too, witness. I guess I most would like to tell her that she should check out the forum so she could realize how "essed" we still are about ML. I bet she would get a chuckle out of our rantings and analyses. Have an awesome visit!

I just have to say: What a super cool lady. The chat started in her make-up trailer, where she was dressed very casually (sweater, jeans, sneakers) and had her hair pulled back in a scrunchie, not much make-up. Gorgeous. Gray, your heart would have been aflutter. Right off the bat I made a comment like, "Ah, the famous sneakers." (She kept them on during the scene that was shooting while I was on set...same ol' Cybill) We talked about a lot of different things, from Twitter (she just recently opened an account) to The L Word (which she called her comeback--how many is that now?) to how she loves doing action on Eastwick, to her book (I had brought it with me so she could sign it), to her "eye allergy" (which may explain why she blinks a lot . Last but certainly not least, we spoke of ML. I mentioned this site and what we do here. I told her how I was a 12-year-old "mini-Maddie" who tried to emulate her wardrobe (to which she replied, "That had to be tough.") and how my 6th grade teacher (also an ML fan) started to call me Maddie. She commented how amazing it is that a television show can have such an impact on people. At one point, she got a bit emotional; not sure if that had to do with her family situation (she shared that her stepfather is in a nursing home, after her mother could no longer care for him. Basically, her parents have switched roles. Plus, her mother fell yesterday, but is doing fine), remembering the good ol' days, or both. Cyb needed a nap, then make-up and hair, so as Skye and I were leaving, she said to me, "Hopefully you'll hang out on set so we can chat some more." In a way I wish I had got a photo at that point, with her looking so naturally beautiful; on the other hand, I felt it was too soon and wanted to connect with her more. Skye gave me a grand tour of the Eastwick soundstages and exteriors, then we headed to a rehearsal for a scene that takes place in Eleanor's (Cyb) shack. They had to break for a last-minute rewrite (sound familiar?), so while everyone waited for the pages, Cyb and I had a bit more time to talk. gray: They have not called her to do more eps of Psych. I wanted so much to ask her why she has not returned any of your multiple contact attempts , because I bet she would have gotten a kick out of it, but there was no time. diane: When I opened with, "There are rumors swirling around about..." she chimed in, "A reunion?" I said something like, "Well that too but..." She seemed surprised that I asked about Broadway instead. She said that she would like to "do" The Sweet Bird of Youth by Tennessee Williams. It sounded like by "do" she meant produce it but perhaps she means star in it, whether it be on Broadway or just any old theatre. She is also working on a new Cabaret act. bees: I'm sorry I didn't get to ask your questions. Maybe we can Tweet her and find out (about the CD, maybe not the hair )! She is also developing a sitcom for her and daughter Clementine. I believe she said it's based on a novel about a mother and daughter who want to kill each other. I asked, "Would that be art imitating life?" She replied, "Oh yeah." Michael came up to us after Skye had taken photos and asked if my brother knew I was there. When I said no, he pulled out his iPhone and promptly took another one. He said, "I'm gonna send this to Thom." Cyb said, "Yeah...send it to Thom" like she and my brother are pals! It was cute. She gave me a hug and we parted ways. Michael said, "I think you made her day." Wha? Then Skye repeated it shortly after. Cybill made my year. I only wish there had been more time.

Cybill said, "Yeah, you can post these on the website." I told her I would make it my avatar and then immediately thought of you, gray, and your photoshopping madness. You'll have to cook up some crafty personal text because of the witchy turban she's wearing in the photo. By the way, I was unable to make Michael's photo my avatar. I think it's too large. Does anyone know how to minimize it, make it "postable?"
Speaking of photos, I showed Cybill my cell phone display, which is the same as my avatar. She commented on the lighting (can't remember what she called it), how it casts a shadow underneath her chin, along her neckline. That, along with the famous filtering, was Gerry Finnerman's idea, lifted from the manner in which '40s glamour goddesses were shot.
