So now onto that scene. Maddie comes to Dave first, and it is DAVE who brings up the garage....not Maddie. Maddie's reply of "What about the garage?" obviously gave Dave the impression that she didn't consider it a big deal. And if SHE didn't think it was a big deal, then HE obviously wouldn't make much out of it.
I agree, gray, but I'd like to add another thought: I think maybe she was ready to admit it meant something, but only when he said a bit teasingly something like "That's what you came back for, wasn't it?" she stepped back. She thought he was being smug on that point, rubbing her in that she had the urge to talk about the kiss, and she didn't like that idea and therefore she said no she didn't come back for that. I think if he hadn't added that comment she would have gone on.
Does that make sense to anybody?
Oooh, how I wanted to beat them up both at the end, after the final denial they looked both so disappointed, idiots!!
Speaking of the acting, to me the strongest scene was the first bedroom scene; Bruce left me without words, he was crying! Who would not have wanted to hug him sooo tight?
Anyway, I want to end my post, as always, with some funny lines; there were remarkably few, though, as it's been a very emotional, serious ep.
Maddie: "Mr. Addison isn't in?"
Agnes: "Oh, he's in. problem is, he might be out."
Agnes: "Good morning!"
David: "I'll be the judge of that."
David: "You're mad?"
Maddie: "Mad? Mad?? If I'll calm down I'll be mad!"
Agnes: "Is this a bad time?"
David: "I've had better..."
