Okay. I’ve asked a question somewhat applicable to this before, but it’s bugging me since I've watched again a couple of episodes which make similar references.
David says in the dinner conversation in “Sam and Dave” that he “[doesn’t have] a car.”
Then how does he get around?
I know while he’s at work, he often has access to Maddie’s BMW, which seems to be the all-purpose company car. The red car seems to have vanished at some point.
In order to get back and forth from work, David could use the bus. So that could account for that.
What that doesn’t tell us is how he gets other places in general, such as locations where the bus line probably doesn’t go.
It’s unwieldy, not to mention the cost will add up, to just take taxi cabs every time he has to leave the office building and Maddie might need the BMW instead.
I’m thinking in particular of “The Man Who Cried Wife.” Dave goes back to the Bower house to talk to the man and the sister-in-law.
Maddie then drives over, in that fake “I was just in the neighborhood” instant. So she had to have her car.
Uh, how’d David get there?
Also in that episode (I think earlier), there's the time Maddie is at the office, and she's waiting for him to come back--she just paces up and down the halls--and then he walks in later. Same question. Since Maddie was obviously at the building ahead of him, so she had to have arrived by car, how'd Dave get back?
There may be a really silly answer to this, which I hope I’m not missing, but I wonder about things sometimes. Thanks.
