Sorry it's taken me awhile to comment (as you guys know, I've been to Bruce's birthplace for a week . What a great episode - I love it when old characters pop up out of the woodwork and who better than that worm of a Ron Sawyer? I actually felt scared for Maddie when she was stuck in the elevator with him and I wanted her to call David immediately! I'm also intrigued with her modelling assignment - it will be interesting to see Maddie doing what she used to do before David - and the merging of these two worlds. It worries me that Sawyer is around at the same time as that 6 figure check! And the ending ... I'm literally left hanging off a clock face here! If that pesky Sawyer has kidnapped Elle- ill be on the case myself: Detective Morris of Pink Moonbeam Investigations at your service! Looking forward to part 2...

Thanks Nancy...it's really fun to see Maddie in all aspects of her life -- realistically! She's like a mama bear when her cub is threatened. Sawyer.....hmmmm.....maybe he's gone. Or maybe not. stay tuned...

I was waiting for this episode and instinctively I knew it would be beyond admiration. But now that I've read it, I can say that it appears to be SO much more! My favorite line from the episode is the one said by Maddie to David: "I need you. I’ve always needed you. Stay with me."
I can hear her saying it in her sweet voice and it makes me happy to know she said it. Brilliant. This episode is perfect for me. I love the combination of comedy and drama in it. Sawyer, kidnapping, police - they all add magic excitement to the story! I know I was livid when that maniac Sawyer threatened our girl! I felt like throwing glass objects! I am so not going to visit him in jail The Red Carpet event is one of my favorite scenes (of course ) I wish I could attend it haha It is so perfectly written! Maddie is still the same brilliant Blue Moon Shampoo Girl - and at the same time - a very different one. She enjoys the attention, but it is not a sense of her life anymore. David and Ellie are. But isn't it nice to see Miss Hayes rocking the carpet? As David says: "The room belongs to her!" And David wearing Armani tux.... *sigh* ... *sigh again* ... took my breath away! As well as Maddie's gorgeous dress! Wow....and if I can't have David, may I at least borrow that fantastic dress? Ellie is adorable. I love this girl. The idea with the letter is the cutest one! ( "Light the candles. I’m too little to play with matches." ;D) And the scene following it is one of the most beautiful love scenes I've ever read: "He presses his lips to her heart as she runs her fingers through his hair. They trade the most intimate of touches – long loving strokes that set skin to tingling."
<--- This is hot and beautiful, reminds me of the hot dream sequence from "Tracks of my Tears" - very classy! Did I mention I loved the fight at the beginning? I really did. It is great to know they still can yell at each other and slam those doors! I would miss that. But what I also like is that they start listening to each other while yelling And yes David, put that gun back. Maddie is right! And I was so happy to know that Kim is a part of the VM team now!!! How cool is that?!? Are we going to have a limbo party to celebrate? Who knows when Miss Hayes is having an appointment? Now tell me.. how can I NOT love Mondays? Terrific job, Diane and ML crew! Thank you for this! p.s. I hope they sent Sawyer to that jail, you know the one David attended in season 4.

Goldie, I always look forward to your reviews because they are always so full of joy...just like you.
I think David and Maddie have been a love story since the day they met....and a love story that goes on everyday. Sometimes its hot, sometimes, its cold, angry, elated, and yes, even mundane and boring. Life has to have the day to day routine for us to appreciate the peaks, and even the valleys!
Taking them through forging a relationship and starting a family of course changes them...it changes everyone. But their core chemistry and love will always make them the perfect couple in my eyes, even when they are washing the dishes, or arguing over who takes out the garbage.
My sincerest gratitude to you and all the others who read and comment....the joy of writing David and Maddie brings its own special rewards, but I love doing it, when I think of those who will enjoy it so.
I am so blessed with my ML friends.

Oh, Diane...great great job! As usual with your episodes, I could see this one unspooling in my mind--from David and Maddie looking at each other in trepidation and fear at the beginning, to the scene with the valet at the end.
Along the way, there were so many great moments. I especially loved the "gun" discussion. Maddie and David have learned how to stay loving even when they're angry...and even when it seems like they can't possibly find common ground. Very authentic...not just to Maddie & David, but to real life.
And ditto what Goldie said about the love scene...beautiful.
You're a tough act to follow...kinda glad I'm not up next! ;D

Another wonderful episode!!! There is just so many great moments! ;D Love how Miss Me gets Ellies first laugh! Poor David. "Let go, beast"! HA! ;D ;D ;D The gun arguement...perfect! As Goldie said, its nice to see they still have that fighting chemistry! But they actually listened to each others words...nice to see after they actually listen to each other, they come to the same conclusion. (Making up is always fun to see them do as well :-) ) My favorite line here: "Oh, you can kiss my rebuttal..." and "Who do you think you are, John McClane?" HA!!! As far as Maddie and Sawyer...I love how our girl fights for herself! "You know what, you lousey little worm...if I am going to die anyway, I may as well get the satisfaction of telling you exactly what I think of you..." UGH...that girls mouth is going to get her is some deep do do one day. Thank goodness for that Blue Moon hairspray! The red carpet was my favorite!!! I love how David realizes that its not all smiling and looking good. That it was actually hard work that Maddie had to do. Plus him in a tux...never bad! The dancing...couldnt be more magical! These two on the dance floor is the best thing since butter on toast! The song was perfect too! Blue Moon Shampoo girl dancing to Blue Moon. *sigh* The note from Ellie was super cute! Love her! The love scene...wonderful!!! Like Goldie said again...very classy. Just as it should be! Although...only Maddie would stop to hang up a dress in the middle of stuff! HA! The epologue ..."you work at Trader Joes" HA!! Fame is fleeting! You did a wonderful job Diane! This double header was a joy to read!!! ;D Cant wait for what ever you have up your sleeve next!!

Lizzie's eps are always bitchin' , and this one is no exception! Love the time-bending aspect and all the shout-outs to various travelers that have gone before...clever clever clever! Also, could see David's subconscious playing out these different scenarios; limboing waters run deep sometimes! ;D But my favorite part was the epilogue. What a great great portrait of David and Maddie's connection: their love shines through every line without being mushy or oversentimental. The moment where they sing "Come Rain or Come Shine" together made me misty. Huzzah, Lizzie--way to go!

Lizzie...Diane is right. This episode was sooooo bitchin'! There were so many great scenes and lines here! Just to name a few: “David, when was the last time you had a great idea about a future business?" "I have them all the time." "Yeah, Another Mother For Lease?" "AMFL was an idea before its time."I love it when you pull in something from an episode!!! AMFL...HA! and She strikes a decidedly Maddie pose with her little hands on her little hips, tapping one foot. "You promised, Daddy-o." David can't help but smile. "Two seconds." Ellie taps her wrist at a non-existent watch. "TWO SECONDS."Love how you have written Ellie in the future. I can so picture that little girl tapping that non-existent watch to her Daddy-O. and "Not sure I like the idea of you drugging me so you can have your way with me ... I feel so used."David on Viagra...soooooo funny!!! and "Go, upstairs. NOW!" "FINE!" She stomps up the stairs. "FINE." He calls back to her. "GOOD!" "Good." He says with a grin. Then the door slams hard. His grin spreads into a broad smile. "That apple didn't fall far from the tree."That apple didn't fall far at all! I LOVED this line! So funny to see the FINE, FINE, GOOD, GOOD from our Ellie to her Dad! Great stuff!!! and "We really need to get you a robe of your own, David." He kisses her neck. "I like how yours feels." "You can't be running around naked. What if Sunny is --." "Is what? Looking through our windows with binoculars? Then she gets what she gets."This one really made me LOL! She gets what she gets! HA! Where can I get myself some binoculars??? and "I can see your future, blondie cakes." "Oh yeah?" "Yes ... I see you ... naked, prone, breathless ... something else ... there it is ... you're smiling."I loved so many things about this episode...all the Sam Becketts, all the apples at the end of each "leap", all the "future" stuff you touched on, all the different phones and their rings, the on going joke of "Did you hit your head?", all the quotes....great, great, GREAT!!! You did such a great job here Lizzie! Way to think outside the box - very Moonlighting style!

Sorry it's taken me awhile to comment on the new episode, shame on me Sooo.... it was amazing! I agree with the girls, there are so many great lines in it: funny lines, thoughtful lines, romantic lines... what a terrific bouquet!!! I absolutely loved the idea with a dream sequence, or was it a fantasy? There should always be a place for a fairy tale, I believe. And I am really happy this fairy tale has a happy ending Isn't it great-great to know that our couple will stay together 5, 10, 20, 100 years later? My fave lines: "When was the last time you looked farther into the future than your next bowling night?” - “Since I met you.” "Should we take the afternoon off? " <---- I CAN'T believe she suggested it! "You haven't done that in ... months ... many, many, many months." - "Well thank God you didn't say years." "Not sure I like the idea of you drugging me so you can have your way with me ... I feel so used." My two most fave scenes: Ellie playing with David's tie in the kitchen - this girl is soooo cute AND the bathtub scene is absolutely adorable! "What's next?"-"You're gonna love it." Do tell, David! Brilliant job, Lizzie! Thank you and the whole VM team for your efforts, ideas and love you guys put into each episode!
