One of my favourite aspects of Moonlighting is the use of dream sequences throughout the show. They're used to express how characters really feel and they get to act out scenes that they would never really do in their real lives. So what is everybody's top three dream sequences, and also, what is your least favourite?
My top 3 are:
1. The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice (how predictable!) 2. Atomic Shakespeare (I know some people might not think of this as a dream sequence, but I do) 3. Big Man on Mullberry Street (FANTASTIC!)
My least favourite is Maddie's dream where David is the Grim Reaper in I See England. It's all just a bit silly and I thought that it was a bit pointless. Just seemed like they were sticking in a dream sequence for the sake of it.

I like the end of The Man Who Cried Wife. Isn't that the one where Maddie and David each imagine kissing the other one? That is early in season 3 isn't it? And those aren't little whimpy kisses either. But full on, hot hot, devouring kisses.

Oh yes, that's a really great episode. It's the one where they have their spontaneous argument and she hits him and he says 'I know you Maddie Hayes and you don't believe in spontineity and you damn well don't believe in passion'. Ooof. And those are really hot kisses at the end, both of them. This episode is so hot.

I think they are generally a waste of time. The only one that made any sense to me was It's a Wonderful Job.

Yeah I think Dream Sequence is a really clever episode and Tracks Of My Tears gets my vote as the best dream sequence. Big Man just goes on a bit too long, but hey I'm just being picky now!! Reckon I'll go daydream now about Body Heat spin-off scenes......

The best are Dream Sequence Always Ring Twice, and Big Man on Mulberry Street. The hottest are Tracks of my Tears, and The Man Who Cried Wife. How about the claymation scene? Is that a dream sequence? I love that.

I must ask something - Maddie sings in her dream I told ya I love ya now get out. But who really sings that song? I found on Google that there is Anita O'Day, but I can't find that song anywhere. One of my friend sent me today version who sings Millers, but I don't know which one is original, so I must ask you (I think you are the only one who can help me now).

Yes, it is Anita O'Day, though I don't have a copy myself. I've seen it on one of her albums in a record shop. It's definitely her. I've never heard of anyone else singing it, though I'm sure someone else has. Love Gem
