There are certainly Bloopers in this one, too. I think everyone knows about the shaving cream. It's very hard to miss that one, but in case there's someone who hasn't noticed it, check it out: When David is in Maddie's office with the shaving cream all over his face, it has the tendency to disappear and reappear like crazy!!! Another blooper: When Mr. Everett's daughter first pushes him into Maddie's office, there's a closeup of her hand as she disengages the lock of the wheel. She clearly has bright red fingernail polish on. Later, when she's in the office, right before she leaves, she puts her hand on his shoulder and she has no fingernail polish on at all.

I was always wondering when I read this threat, what you ment with the shaving cream disappearing and reappiering. Never saw it. But today I watched the episode again and suddently it "jumped right into my eyes". How is that possible? I always thought that that kind of scenes is only one shot (if you understand what I mean, I`m not sure if I used the correct words).

sometimes you forget to do something I know that since I'm studying at the film school. You have to think about so many things! btw, we have a commercial over here, saw it for the first time today. A woman is sitting on a table with her family drinking a glass filled with RED wine while in Medium Shot. After that you see a total shot of the table and her glass is filled with WHITE wine! I mean, I understand it happens with a tv-show or movie, but with a commercial?!

When Agnes is walking out of the office, after David barks at her, watch closely for a few seconds (it's about 15:00 or 15:05 in) and you can see she almost breaks up laughing.

I read the above posts about the disappearing shaving cream and have discovered this:-
1; David goes to Maddie's office with the shaving cream on 2. David enters Maddie's office without the shaving cream on, right!!
I have noticed that after he leaves his office to talk to Maddie and just seconds before entering Maddie's office he wipes half of the shaving cream off.
Feel free to have a look for yourself. It's at 14:08 - 14:11

I watched this episode again last night & looked very closely at the shaving cream bit. It's while he is in Maddie's office that the cream is on & off. There's a little bit on his chin which keeps appearing & disappearing again. I would never have spotted it but it's funny now watching it.

Oh, the disappearing shaving cream! And not just the dab on his chin, but all over the right side of his neck. Yes, very distracting. *L*

The concept of continuity is what is being violated in this scene. What happens is when "coverage" is shot (camera one time on Bruce, one time on Maddie, then on both...those are all different shots of the same scene.) Usually a "master shot" is done first which is usually the full scene shot (both persons in the room pulled back more to record all the action in the whole scene.) Then to be able to cut to closeups of the persons in the room, they do coverage shots... one time they film with the camera close up on one actor...the next time close up on the other actor and so on. Then when editing they cut back and forth between the different shots to created the whole scene. Obviously in the close ups, the shaving cream was applied a bit differently than in the master shot...and so we get this bad continuity. Someone on the production staff should have paid more attention to have made this less noticeable.
