Forgive me my "sad" opinion about this episode...but I was not expecting that hot ending in this episode. I know some people out there may like this episode very munch cause of the great end...but forgive me again but I really was not excepting this. You know back in 2004 when I saw it I was shocked because I was not really excepting something like this. 1st slapping then kiss...rolling...end at the bed? I don't get it... I really don't understand what's all the excitement about it. I don't see nothing good at all. I'm sorry to be so "mean" but that is what I've been trying to say a long time. Very sorry, but it's what I think

Yeah I never quite understood why they decided to have the two of them almost start a fist fight and then engage in the horizontal polka. Although it is essentially what the fans wanted, them to get together, I think they definatley went about it in an interesting way.

This is not the way I call "together" This is just a shock to me....

If i recall , Jay Daniel said that all the non closeup rolling around shots were done by doubles. Which confirmed what i always thought. The way that guy was rolling back and forwards over ` Maddie ` and her stomach, the real Bruce and Cybill wouldn`t have been so physical knowing that she was pregnant with twins and not wanting any risks to the babies. To be honest , i think that the whole scene was pretty tame compared to todays standard, i mean there wasn`t any nudity at all and to me the slaps weren`t that hard. Also now that we have the dvds to watch with slow mo and everything you can really break the big bang scene down and i`ve noticed that even though Bruce was giving it his all with the kiss i mean , Cybill seemed a bit `off`. It most probably was down to Cybill having morning sickness or maybe Bruce was a bit too forthcoming for Cybill on that particular day i don`t know? But one thing i do know is that it was all too brief , i`m not suggesting that we should have seen more sex( sometimes less is more on that front )but it would have been nice to see to have seen a lot more tender intimate moments between them during that scene and the subsequent episodes, before the whole thing went belly up. Anyway after that mouthfull, i`d just like to add that i did like the scene but it could have been better

I knew something was not correct here...
The actores were very ashamed...

Thats right . Jay said that they had to use doubles for the wide shots on the floor ( notice that we never see their faces )because of Bruces broken collar bone and Cybills bump!. Which was the exact same reason the bed scene was shot with the bed propped up against the wall with Bruce and Cybill stood next to it. But i see where your`e coming from Sakura, i always imagined it would have been a little different too...... But it doesn`t stop me from watching and drooling everytime i see that scene though ;D

Yeah I never quite understood why they decided to have the two of them almost start a fist fight and then engage in the horizontal polka. Okay, it's good no one else is sitting in this room cuz I laughed really weird when I read this sentence. That's such a cute way to describe it LMAO! Sakura, you don't like the slapping-to-kissing-to-bed-scene, because it starts with a fight? But that's so Maddie and David, they banter all the time. Okay, they don't hit eachother, but they were both really really mad at eachother mainly because they didn't know how they felt about eachother. Well, David knew he loved Maddie, and Maddie knew she loved David at that point, but they were both too afraid to admit it. And at this point David just thinks "to **ll with it" and grabs her arm and they just can't prevent the next thing from happening because they both want it to happen so badly. I haven't seen this scene in such a looooong time.

Just thought i would add MHO. Steph, what you wrote was great! I totally agree with you. This is my fave episode if you didn't guess that already from my banners/icon made by the wonderful JO! Maddie and David fight, and yell, and slam doors since the day they met. Maddie has even slapped David a few times before this night also. So nothing new for her in slapping him. The tension ha been building for a long time. When you can't express youself normally or calmly people say really mean things to hurt the other. Thye were both afraid and did their usual yelling/fighting. To me this scene was perfect for their personalities with each other. I loved th scene when it happened March 31, 1987 and i love it even more today now that i am older(36) Everyone is entitled to their opinion on this scene. This is mine

I was absolutely not expecting the ending to this episode either! I thought they were never ever gonna get it on (ehrm). I thought the show was just about the teasing and a dream kiss here and there was all we were gonna get. But when it happened, I thought it was perfect! To me, as I can only say what I think and everyone see things different, they acted like they always did, true to the characters. Maddie slapped David in the Pilot and in The Man Who Cried Wife, so that's not really new. That's her way of releasing her feelings. This time it led to something good, imo, and I couldn't think of a better way to do it. Being crazy about someone for three years can really make you crazy, and they were crazy a lot, not just in this scene.

For you probably was a good shock (I mean that you all love it and so it one). For me it was a bad shock...I didn't like it...I'm sorry....
