I don`t know if anyone else has noticed but the guy from the train that Maddie marries is called Walter , and by some weird coincidence that is also Bruces actual first name. Now was that a conscious decision that the writers made, maybe as a nod and a wink to Bruce, or just one of those things they did without realising.Anyway it always makes me chuckle when i hear Maddie tell David that her husbands name is Walter and David laughs at this and them Maddie says"Don`t make fun , i love him!" If you watch and listen carefully , there alot of references to both Bruces and Cybills real lives , like when David and Bert are discussing what Maddies new husband would look like and David says that the kind of guysthat Maddie goes for are usually quite tall- broad shoulders- slim waist( sounds like someone we all know !), and has good bone structure -"just like that guy who does those wine cooler adverts!!"- Which was Bruce of course , he was the front man for the ads back in the 80s for Seagrams wine cooler wasn`t he!. ;D If any one can think of any more references to their real lifes within the show please put them here.

I love that stuff too, and I don´t believe all of it is coincidental.. Didn´t know that about Walter.
In Gunfight, when David teaches Maddie how to get the right attitude: "I´m gonna tell Mr Bruce that you made me do this."
In the ep with the painting of Maddie, David asks what she bought for the money they made. Elvis-memorabilia? (Cybill &Elvis were..hmm..involved in real life)
