No, they didn't say anything. They are more the quiet, refined type. Me? I would have pulled up a chair, ordered wine and dessert with them and chatted all night. All the while embarrassing my brother to death. Which makes it even more hilarious that he's going to be infiltrated (literally) with my unrefined, loud self! Mwuah hahahaha!
I told him he probably won't be as good at calculus anymore either.

What a great hilarious story. Wish something like that would happen to me... And I'm sure your bro wouldn't have been embarrasses by you. Well, not after you'll have i filtrated him anyway. Invasion of the marrow snatchers! Thanks for sharing this story.

Funny story that you will enjoy: So, most of you know that I have a little brother (age 32) with leukemia and he is in need of a bone marrow transplant. I am his perfect match and as I type this we are heading to Houston, TX to MD Anderson to have this procedure done next Monday. During this ordeal we have kept laughing and joking which is wonderful therapy. I tease him that he will have a yearning for mojitos, sun dried tomatoes and will be quoting Moonlighting all the time after receiving my marrow. (He already knows "Man with a mole on his nose".) In other words, he will never be able to escape me. I have been dubbed by my family as The Queen Marrow. So, on his last night in Atlanta before he moves to Houston for 4 months he and his wife go to dinner at a nice restaurant. He has to go early so he's not around a lot of people. There was only one other table being served at this restaurant: 4 "older" couples. According to my brother they are in their early 60s (forgive him). Jay says as soon as they sit down he hears one of the men at the table say to the others at his table: "Do you remember when Maddie Hayes took that long vacation away from David and left him all messed up?". Jay said that question led to an entire dinner conversation about Moonlighting....how wonderful it was, the plot turns, twists, the music, etc. And these "older people" were apparently passionate and emotional about it. Jay and his wife thought it was hilarious. He said if you had never watched the show this table of people had just told everything that ever happened. And he and his wife just shook their heads and realized again that they never really can escape me Just thought you would like to hear a random, wonderful little story. HAHA Oh this is so cute and funny! Glad you posted your story here! WOW your brother can't escape you for sure! Yes i would have been my nosy self and went to chat with them too. I chat easy with people when out my hubby just rolls his eyes at me so yeah id embarrase him to talk ML with anyone! Ahh to be at that table gabbing away, would have loved to be fly on wall! LOL! All the best wishes for this coming week & weeks to come ! Your brother may tease you casue well he know hes supposed to but inside he is so thrilled that parts of you will now take over him forever even the ML parts !

1987, I'm confident the dinner experience was a "sign"--a good omen for you and your brother!! Please know we're thinking of you over the next few weeks!

Sounds like a great table to me!! Ok, just came out of Barnes and Noble.... They were playing Archie Bell's "Tighten Up" outside....had to fight the urge to do the little "padre shuffle".....

That's a great story 1987 - that's so brilliant to find a group of people chatting away about it all these years later. I, like you, would not have been able to resist finding a way to walk past the table in order to accidentally over-hear and join in lol. Really? Do you really think David Addison would have done that? lol. Brilliant and a very very very good omen for your brother!
Good luck with everything! You're an amazing woman xxxxxxxxxxxx

Last night at dinner my Aunt was talking about a second job she's recently taken. She said, "So I mentioned the other night how I've been 'moonlighting' as a proctor over at the college . . . ." Since I don't ever hear it used, I couldn't help but wonder if she used the term purposely for my benefit as a *wink* to my relentless ML-related FB posts/links.

I'm just catching up on some of the posts from when I was away. First, lots of good thoughts to you and your brother, 1987. So amazing that you can be his donor. Brothers are a joy.....and so are you to him. Bless you both. Loved your story. Reminds me of another story about a phone call that I overheard in a restaurant in New York. I was so convinced the person on the other end of the phone call was Bruce, I almost fell off my chair. Wish I had had the nerve to ask.........or ask if i could say hello

Well today I was walking thru the mall and this song comes on -- "Baby Love"...My mind automatically takes me to "Womb With A View" the scene where Maddie and David are dancing so happily. Now I'm sad. I really wanted that to end differently.

I don't know if this belongs here, but I had dinner tonight with a gal who's friends with Bruce's mom. What a trip it was when she passed her phone to me and let me listen to a voice mail message from Mrs. Willis!
