When they come back to the office to see what had happened to it if she had shut it down, there´s a man there. Maddie and the man say "Don´t I know you from somewhere?", of course they say it at the same time. I figured that he had worked with Cybill before, is that so? In what? And who is he?

I couldn't remember this guys name so I had to look it up. I believe his name is Lionel Stander and he played Max on Hart to Hart, another detective show that I think started in late 70's or early 80's. I don't know if he and Cybill every really worked together before this episode. Maybe someone else here has more info.

I think it was just a breaking of the fourth wall of sorts. Because they are both from tv shows. She knows him from Hart to Hart and he knows her from Moonlighting. At least that's what I got from it.
I love this episode by the way! I'm so glad my dvd's came ;D

'Hart to Hart' ran for a number of years on ABC before it was taken off in favor of another show. It was one of the precedents for the 'battling couple' theme of detective shows of the time. A second show came in for a while but was also taken off soon. Just after that, 'Moonlighting' premiered on the network and eventually took over the old HtH time slot as a mid-season replacement, Tuesdays at 9:00. Hence the joke.

Okey, I think I´ve heard the name of that show before, but it probably never aired here. So they know eachother from watching eachother on their respective tv-shows. That IS funny! Thanks a lot for taking the time to explain it to me.

I also watched this show as a child. Max (Lionel Stander) was kind of their butler, cooking and taking care of the house and the dog.
