My favourite Season 5 episode. Especially the ending. In which Maddie kisses David. She seems so accepting of their relationship, when compared to Season 4. Alas...why couldn't the writers continue upon this direction.

Maddie's kiss was wonderful. Her kiss was an apologize for her comment about that David was an hard-kisser,and the way that she recibes the present from David was so sweet. In fact,Maddie after all the whole years,she accepted David,no matter mistakes,funny faces or jokes he made to her,he will be always there just to make sure she's safe and happy.
I'll give a small note...7. It was a great episode,and a great kiss,I repeat the whole sence in my tape,until it gets tired...hehe. I paused several times just to see their kiss...great!

I agree completely. With makes the last few episodes of Season 5 that so much jarring. I wish the Writers had continued on Maddie and David getting backing together for good.

An 8 for all the wonderful D/M dialogue. They talk and talk and talk and kiss in this one and I love it! Plus, I like the case and we have the great Colleen Dewhurst too.

Overall not bad...not one of the best episodes, but not too shabby. As with most 5th season shows, I didn't recall this one much at all, except for vague memories of the Yugo and the smooch at the end.
One of my buddies at work had a white Yugo at the time, and kept buying them for YEARS after the fact for only a few bucks. He'd drive them until they died, which usually wasn't long, then he'd pick up another. You don't see them much around here anymore, but when I was stationed in Bosnia you saw them everywhere!

Got an 8 from me aswell. Liked the 'married' situation D/M are now, regarding discussing each one cons and the kissing scene at the end kinda remind the old days |

6 on this one for me. Some good moments, but as great as the conversation they have about her stinginess and his kissing is, it just doesn't feel like it is going anywhere. The UST is not there to drive the conversation. We are really into the pals with a past phase here. And the pearls and the kiss at the end are great, but they feel more like a sweet capstone on their relationship than a promise of a future for their relationship. Maybe that is because the earlier conversation feels so sterile to me. I mean the writers/directors/producers couldn't even be consistent about whether they wanted them to want each other within a single episode, much less across a season.

I like the dialogue scenes, and kiss. Also when Maddie was searching for present was sweet. But I really didn't like the way David acted when he got the car. He just wanted to get rid of it..  |

This is where it should have either ended or been a different direction! It went majorly downhill after this.... I loved the kiss, which was sweet and wonderful....

I see i never rated this episode, i'm going thrugh these episodes to see if i ever commented so here it goes, Anyone else who hasnt commented on this one please feel free:
This is a pretty good season 5 episode. I can watch this one more than others in this season. Some really great scenes in it. I do like how we hear more about their relationship in their talks, sometimes it comes off nice and others it doesnt. The gift of the little car is really sweet of Maddie ,yes not the dream car David really would have wanted but i feel he wasnt very appreciative of it. The end really is so great though where David gives Maddie those pearls and then the kiss! SIGH! They did seem comfortable in this episode at the end. Why the writers didnt continue with this i will never understand. It could have been a start over with another kiss here and there with the rest of the season. Well we know how that went. I give this a 7.

Gave this a 9 .. Maddie wasn't so lifeless in here,wasn't really herself but better, nice dialogue, funny lines & I liked the kiss
