From " Yours, Very Deadly": M: Kick the door down.
D: But it’s his door! He’s had it from a boy! He raised it from a pea pole!
M: Kick it or I’ll kick you.**** Earlier, same show: M: David, save it. I know this conversation by heart. It’s two parts ‘Lighten up,’ and ten parts what my gardener spreads on the lawn every spring.Lot of good lines in that one. ;D

This very strange conversation between Maddie and Bert takes place in, once again, "Yours..." Maddie confronts the completely flustered Mr. Viola about his tempestuous run-ins with Agnes. B: She’s not your cousin, is she?... I figure she’s got to be related to somebody around here. M: No, she kinda came with the place. B: Honestly? I…don’t know how I feel about her. I mean, I’m always too busy running away from her. M: Then why not stop running?B: Because...she’d catch me. M: And then what will happen? You get the idea they're not only talking about running as in your feet. As for wondering what could be so bad when somebody catches up to you...well, it's not only the understudies she's referring to, either.

From " All Creatures..." " Only you could turn the subject of cremation into a come-on." She says this after David vaults from the admittedly downer subject of what to do in the event of his own demise, to, ah, his favorite thing to think about. To him, he's just trying to cheer up, because this case is a pretty rough one to think about. To her, it's something that makes junior high kids sound mature by comparison. That's our Dave, though. For better or for worse. ;D

Today I have a quote in my head from Perfetc. They´re in the car after the bad guy had fallen from the buildning and become a pizza. Maddie talks about her grandfather, and that she was with him when he died. D: He couldn´t hold on. M: Well, David, he was 97. It´s one of those things you just have to see to understand how hysterical it is.

" I don't know. Not only do I not know, I don't even know why I don't know, you know?" --from the scene at the bar with Agnes in "I Am Curious." Indicates how completely she is at sea--everything is going crazy around her. She can't even party right (watch the look on her face after Agnes chugs that first drink ). Make all the jokes you want about how Maddie supposedly can't loosen up, but nobody likes to feel out of control in life...and so she is determined to make some decision, doggone it, and goes home--only to find that even then, it's already been made for her. What a whirlwind.

Perhaps someone else mentioned it before, but I can't remember.
It comes from season 3, from All Creatures...

From "Maddie's Turn to Cry": Agnes: There’s no Monique. I’m Monique. Is there really a Sam? Maddie: Yes, there’s really a Sam. Agnes: Is he really terrific? Maddie: Truth is, Miss Dipesto, they’re both really terrific. Heck of a Freudian slip here. Agnes had only asked Maddie about Sam. However, completely unasked-for, Maddie throws in a comment that not only says something extraordinary about David, but puts the two on an equal footing.

Great one, Queensgirl. It's always been one of my favorites. But, it kind of makes me sad too. She thinks he terrific, bu then leaves I know she's confused, but imagine if our duo had a happy ending.

From earlier in the same episode:
Sam: Sleep good?
Maddie: (Nothing.)
Sam: You going to be okay?
Maddie: (slowly) Yeah, I'm going to be okay. (Pause.) Everything's going to be okay.
Just ever so slightly inaccurate. ;D

My favourite Heiress Human David: What's wrong with something that's good for right now? Maddie: Is that what I am just the best thing you can find for the moment? That's a load of crap. David: Excuse me? Maddie: Your crazy about me and not for tonight, not for next week, I'm going to be under your skin for a long time buster and you know it.
